It seems that fudge making is a musical event in York. Fudgites locally have been heard singing the following song whilst knocking out a batch of their best, to the Tune of ‘You can’t hurry love’! Think it might catch on….

No you’ve just got to wait
good fudge don’t come easy
It’s a game of loaf and shape

how much fudge should i make
just keep on creaming
