Count down begins!

October 28th, 2007 by Beau

The count down to the annual Fudge makers Conference 2007 has begun! This years event will be held in Canterbury at the end of October. The event see’s all the best fudge makers from around the country from as far away as Edinburgh coming together to one shop to compete for Best Fudge Maker of the year. Canterbury is proud to be hosting this years conference and excited to have all the top makers using our shop.

As Canterbury’s team are the current holders of the trophy, Won at last years awards in Cambridge by Suzanne and Mikey, we’ll come out fighting hard to try hold on to our award, No-doubt we will see the same spirit from all the other participants. If your in the area of the Canterbury shop on the 30th’ish October then stop by.

You might even see the lot of us dressed as characters from ‘Canterbury Tales’ later on that evening for the actual Award Ceremony.

Thanks for reading and remember. Keep watching the skies!

Canterbury turned into Area 51!

October 28th, 2007 by Beau

Hello again Fudge lovers.

Recently the Canterbury crew has gained a new team member, sent from the future!… well not so much the future, more Chatham way. Julie Crenn, the young food technologist (hailing from France) has come to stay with us for awhile to try find a way of increasing our Fudges shelf life.

She’ll be spending alot of time with us, watching how we make the Fudge, checking our ingredients, and maybe even taking down notes on us for scientific research in the hunt for a cure of madness.

She has already become one of the team, and feels right at home, which is fantastic news as it may take some time! She has been working extra hard, putting in alot of hours of reaseach and experiments, of which we enjoy helping. So lets all wish her luck in her quest of longer living Fudge!

Until next time! Keep watching the skies!

When fudge fans attack….

August 7th, 2007 by Josh

…then watch out.  This video clip about a namesake of ours in the US shows just what happens when fudge lovers get in a frenzy. My favourite quote from the clip is ‘And when she saw the Rocky Road it was all over….’

Fudge has arrived in Leicester Square

June 22nd, 2007 by sian

Well yesterday I took 6 beautifully made batches (thank you very much and well done to Paul and Tanya) up to London to a large ice-cream and coffee shop called the Rendezvous which is situated right on Leicester Square. Today they are going to start selling the best fudge in the world so it will be our first experience of proper wholesale.

Rendevous in Leicester Square, if you squint!

Paul is going up there this afternoon to teach their team how to sell the best fudge in the world and see if he can shift some product. Good Luck Paul - I think he will have a ball!

Watch this space for further news here but it could be the start of something very interesting. You can just see a pic of the Rendezvous in the right hand corner of the photo.

En famille we skipped along at the weekend to take a look. Here is one of her masterpieces (its a bird with moveable wings) with Suzanne and my youngest, Rebecca…. Well Done Suzanne!
