More Fudge Poetry - Canterbury Part 1

Canterbury Poem Pt.1
“Premature Summer”

Summer is coming really soon
spring time, think it was June
take out your guitar, sing a tune
lay back, your head on the grass
chill out with beer, having a laugh
say goodbye to that awful draught

call your friends up on the phone
spring time aint’ for spendin’ alone
Micheal Fish reads out the weather report
Englands been turned into a holiday resort
birds flying high in a bright blue sky
we do everything we can but try

we’re rudly awoken from this dream
when the first spot of rain hits the floor
grab your phone and drink, head for the door
wait it out, it will pass soon i’m sure
listen to what the radio has to say
bright skies and sunshine heading our way

Even more poetry - Canterbury Part 2

April 13th, 2008 by fudgeblog editor

Canterbury Poem Pt 2:

Spring At Fudge Kitchen Today!
At FK Today, spring is finally here.
With flowers in our window and the sun blazing through our door, Canterbury can hear our cheer!

As we finally turn our heaters off and put our super-size shades on,
An instant perk is with us to sell that fudge. Come On!!

With some new spring flavours we got planned to WOWZZ the city,
The only thing that gets us down is the rain showers. What a Pity!

After a hard days work, our FK-Crew likes nothing better than a hardcore raving session.
With our favorite moves such as the turtle, typewriter and the fishing rod; We definalty give canters a dancing lesson.

The back to FK Today…hyped up from reminising, We’re ready to work!!
As the spring turns into summer…This is the time of year we love and live for!

‘Woop Woop’

Canterbury shop says farewell to Suzanne…

March 27th, 2008 by fudgeblog editor

Today is Suzanne’s final day with us here at Fudge Kitchen before she jets off to start a wee family of her own. Shes been with us for many years, and most of you will know her or of her. She’s always been a big part of the canterbury team, teaching us all how to make the best fudge in the world, being super organised and running the wedding side of the company.

So myself and the team would like to say a huge thank you for everything she has done for us here, and a big good luck for the future and we hope to see her soon!

mucho love
Beau xx (on behalf of the team)

We at Bath have invented a new fudge. Its very good, and been selling like hotcakes. In fact I would go as far as saying it will change the world of fudge forever. Unfortunatly I have been forbidden from telling you what flavour it is, as its top secret, but i can give you a little hint….

Its Green.

That is all.

Canterbury turned into Area 51!

October 28th, 2007 by Beau

Hello again Fudge lovers.

Recently the Canterbury crew has gained a new team member, sent from the future!… well not so much the future, more Chatham way. Julie Crenn, the young food technologist (hailing from France) has come to stay with us for awhile to try find a way of increasing our Fudges shelf life.

She’ll be spending alot of time with us, watching how we make the Fudge, checking our ingredients, and maybe even taking down notes on us for scientific research in the hunt for a cure of madness.

She has already become one of the team, and feels right at home, which is fantastic news as it may take some time! She has been working extra hard, putting in alot of hours of reaseach and experiments, of which we enjoy helping. So lets all wish her luck in her quest of longer living Fudge!

Until next time! Keep watching the skies!

October 28th, 2007 by Jim

There are times in life when everything you do goes brilliantly. Your every decision and action is timed to perfection. You glide amongst your plebian companion’s like a collossus amongst ants, sweeping them aside with your shear invulnerability. And then, of course, there are the times when it all goes a bit poo.

Normally, when i’m left to make fudge, its the latter. My creations are less fudges, and more dali-esque abominations. However on saturday I banged out four fudges, each more beautifull and tasty than the last.

At last it had arrived. I was now a fudge maker. I had come of age. No longer a boy, but a man, a fudge making man.

August 24th, 2007 by Beau

On her 2nd attept Canterburys Arianne Mills has passed her driving test! well done to Ari. If you come by the shop Congratulate the girl! she was ever so nervous after being failed for something so small the first time around. When asked how she felt about passing she commented “Woop Woop.” Which pretty much sums up her feelings on the matter.
